I dont get what you mean when you say its common that his negative feelings arent taken seriously or that its a Tsundere trope. The entire show revolves around him not wanting to be a main character, or to just be average. Not sure if I explained my part right and i might also be biased cause i still like the show but I want to hear more about ur reasoning

My point is that the entire show does the wrong thing. My point is that chapter 108 makes an unacceptable joke about how scared Saiki is to hide from Teruhashi. I argue that it should not make a joke of such a severe reaction such as trying to hang out of a window to hide from her, and that this is very poor taste.

In addition, this is repeated, as many of his negative facial expressions and comments are unreasonably ignored, even in chapters 195, 197, 214, 280. In chapter 214, Saiki is unhappy and has a negative tone throughout the entire chapter and in the actual translation, threatens to destroy Aiura's mind with buddhist sutras.

But of course, Saiki's negative comments are ignored because he's a "tsundere". I think this is nonsense, the way that this is handled.

I think that the idea that Saiki K promotes (that you can ignore every negative thing that Saiki K says because of the tsundere trope) is a dangerous and harmful idea about relationships, and should not be promoted.

The tsundere trope is supposed to be a joke. the tsundere trope itself is kinda a funny joke anyway. it was meant to be a joke. (IF it was actually done in the anime or manga.)

Saiki isnt going to kill himself or anything, and saiki himself isnt a tsundere. he just doesnt like teruhashi. the joke was that what he did was so severe and a extreme reaction just to not be seen by someone. in season 2 they are going to still need a storyline. you cant just hang off a comedy manga/anime forever. you are going to want to read something new. there are jokes about his friends dying in stupid ways. (including kaido talking about how at one point they are all gonna go crazy on the island and start killing eachother with weapons, as he draws weird stuff on his face with marker.)

Its called the disastrous life of saiki k for a reason. its gonna have to actually get disastrous at some point

It isnt used to promote horrible relationship adivce, as saiki doesnt want to be in a relationship anyway.

It also isnt used to promote fetishes because no weird fetishes are included. (even including saiki talking down on them and calling them disgusting.) Saiki starts warming up to his friends anyway, and doesnt try to hide from them as much.

You are whining about things that are just funny go along threats. he isnt actually threatening to do it. he isnt going to kill anybody. he isnt panning on doing it because he likes his friends. it was just a way to show he didnt like them. its obviously going to be ignored because hes not going to do it. the manga literally ends with him quite literally talking about how he loves his friends and how they'd support him no matter what he does. its heartwarming. there is no reason for this.

However, it seems like the author made the completely irresponsible move to promote a Saiki x Teruhashi storyline with hints. Who knows what he has planned for them. Unfortunately, they messed it up, and that's why I'm complaining.

What happens elsewhere is that there is a recognition that what happens is bad, and that his friends dying is bad and I would argue that those are not of too bad taste,

However, my point is that in chapter 108, it's treated in a way that means Saiki's emotions don't actually matter. What this teaches the reader is that you should do this in a relationship, because most of the readers of the manga are very young.

No, neither of the events in chapter 108 nor 214 are funny, especially with the context that I know. It is true that he likes his friends, however, threats should not be taken as a joke.

Mental health and social constraint as a subject in Saiki K should not be ridiculised and ignored until it's just, "oh, he can get out if he wants to, he has super powers", or "he's not going to do this, let's not take any of his emotions seriously". That's why I think the entire show is wrong.

Oh yeah, and any sane person woud know not to re enact anything in manga. as a kid, if you saw someone kill in a manga because someone is bullying them and nobody would seek to help them out, would you do it too because someone was bullying you? would you kill a person over it? if someone re enacts smth in a manga it is not the manga's fault. when i was 10-13, i was reading manga that wasnt meant for teens or children and was meant for adults. i wasnt thinking "oh im gonna do whatever this guy did if i was in this situation"

I agree with you in that the end, Saiki and Teruhashi don't get together, which is good. That is very clear. However, I hate the author precisely because of how they treated Saiki x Teruhashi.

I am not talking about Saiki. I am talking about what the manga is supposedly trying to tell the readers.

What the manga is supposedly telling you is that you should ignore negative comments because of how it frames everything as not being serious. It ridiculises negative emotions as just being part of the tsundere trope. It makes Saiki and Teruhashi have a shitty relationship but then treats it as if it's positive.
