Kusuo was walking home when he sees things in floroscopy or x ray vision, something that he isn't the least excited about the power. He then passes by a street performance of Chouno Uryoku who encouraged Kusuo to watch since his class is over. After witnessing a magic failure, the crowd dispersed leaving only Kusuo, Uryoku and Michael who is asking for his payment but was never given a penny. Kusuo then pointed at Uryoku's hat, misunderstanding that Kusuo may want to pay the magician but instead sees his dove unconscious. Kusuo, entangled at Uryoku as he started to talk about his life so he then thought that the latter should instead find a descent job and give up on magic shows and to do that he performed a magic trick. On Kusuo's bag he pulled up Michael making Uryoku dumbfounded. The chapter ended with Kusuo's plan backfired, instead of giving up, Uryoku sees Kusuo as his master and asked to be his disciple.
