X-Ray Vision is the third chapter of Volume 0 of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K (Saiki Kusuo no Sai-nan).

Summary
Along his trip home, Saiki discovers some bullies picking on an old man for his wallet. He takes this time to explain one of his more common powers – "X-Ray Vision". Using this power, he shows that the old man they were bullying is actually a Gangster. Despite having such an amazing ability, he has no interest in looking at a woman’s naked body unlike a normal boy. Saiki explains that, like all his powers, has a great problem that like most of his abilities, he’s unable to turn off this power due it activating automatically based on the seconds he watches someone. The more he stares at someone the more layers disappear from his view allowing him to even see past under the skin. Continuing his trip home he comes across a street performer by the name of Chouno Uryoku, who appears to be about to perform a magic trick or two. Somehow Chouno is able to ‘convince’ Saiki to watch his performance where he’s able to see every trick due to his X-Ray Vision, including the dove hidden within the performer’s hat. The last performance is where an individual by the name of ‘Michael’ is chosen and climbs into a box where he’ll be ‘transported’ magically to the next box. During the process of Chouno distracting the audience, Saiki comments on how he can easily see Michael slowly crawling through the back towards the box as well as the dove that’s still hiding in the hat….and not moving. Since Michael is so slow at moving, Chouno is too fast with the ‘reveal’ and opens the box only for Michael to crawl out from under the hidden ‘pathway’ completely destroying the magic trick and scaring off the audience. After the performance the two argue until Saiki is noticed by the performer and silently lets him know about the dove that is still hidden. Luckily the dove was alright thanks to Saiki and Chouno thanks Saiki by giving him his life story how he was fired, his wife leaving them and being kicked out of his house. He goes onto explain how he decided to be a magician with Saiki commenting the whole way. Finally he finishes with asking Saiki for any tips on how to be a magician. In hopes of crushing Chouno’s dream and making him seek out a real job, Saiki uses one of his abilities to ‘pull’ Michael out of his school bag completely shocking Chouno. The chapter ends with Chouno bowing before Saiki, asking him to be his master much to Saiki’s dislike.
