Summary
It was Kusuo's day off and he meets Riki who was playing baseball in a field. For the first time, Riki did not stay long to chat with Kusuo as his team was depending on him for victory. He was about to rejoin his team when a stray ball almost hit Kusuo and by intuition, he uses Telekinesis and causes the ball to change direction and fly at Riki instead, hitting him on the head and knocking him out. Since it was his fault that Riki was knocked out, Kusuo had no choice but to use Astral Projection, swapping his soul with Riki's soul and thus now controlling Riki's body. As Riki, Kusuo met with Riki's team and explains that he was asked to come after the captain of the team questions his appearance and surprisingly, the coach of the baseball team start boasting about Riki's abilities. As the game starts, Kusuo observes that his team is weak as they only score when it was his turn. Kusuo was trying hard to control his strength, but still defeated the opposing team easily. Kusuo then felt a bit guilty that an Esper like him was playing against ordinary people, as it was clearly unfair. Just then, Riki wakes up so Kusuo swaps back again to his original body. When Riki's soul came back to his body and started playing, a surprising plot twist occurred as his team made a goal.
Trivia
- Extra content for the series would go on to be posted on Shōnen Jump NEXT!! until Asou-sensei received a serialization offer for the series.
- It was subtly joked in Chapter 126, that after this one-shot and most likely if the series was not picked up for serialization, Kusuo would have died and Kusuke would accidentally initiate World War 3.
