He leaves, making Kumagoro pleased, however Kumi, Kurumi and Kusuo are not and ditch him. Kumagoro mentally pleads sorry, however staying in character, he just let them leave. He feels depressed as soon as they do. He is a bit scared as there is nothing but young people around the area and has no idea how to get back home. That is when Riki arrives to his aid, believing he is lost. Kumagoro believes Riki is an assassin and is a bit worried.
Kusuo then feels that something is wrong with Kumagoro. He tries to think it is probably nothing, however once Kumi came out from the changing room he starts to become more worried. He goes to where Kumagoro is and is surprised that Riki is there and how quickly they got along. Kumagoro tells Riki he got into a fight with his grandson, not knowing it was Kusuo. Riki asks him how old his grandson is, Kumagoro replying 17. Riki follows it with another question as to what kind of guy he is, Kumagoro speaking to him in a kind way, but Kusuo saw it as him describing himself as a contact lens. Riki tells him a good way to make it better is probably buying Kusuo a gift, Kumagoro telling him what a great idea but would Riki know what Kusuo would like. Riki tells him of course he would, he's the same age as him, Kumagoro is surprised thinking that Riki was 37, not 17.
Riki and Kumagoro then go shopping for a gift, all of which Kusuo disliked, aside from a packet of coffee jelly that they quickly skip through after seeing them. They then go to a glasses store, Riki saying he is a contact lense after all, Kusuo remarks that he is a human being. Kumagoro says the idea is not bad, seeing as Kusuo had the same pair of glasses ever since he was a child. Kusuo says glasses are not bad, it would be nice to have a spare pair, but he would not be willing to receive the present. He figures out an idea.
It is evening and Kumagoro goes to Kusuo to give him his gift. Kusuo replaced himself with his dad. Kuniharu happily accepts the glasses, seeing as his broke earlier. Kumi and Kurumi are happy that Kumagoro would apologized and apologize for leaving him earlier. Kumagoro states that this is not bad and Kusuo somewhat smirking at his spot.
