|The DiPSIster of the Rental Video Store|
|Release Date||October 6, 2014|
|Issue||Weekly Shōnen Jump No. 45, 2014|
Kusuo is bored at home and decides to go out to rent a DVD. Kusuo then goes to and enters his nearest video rental store. He checks who is currently on shift, a woman named Hashida, and states that is great. It's important for him, as someone with telepathy, to know who is working at the moment.
What first catches everyone's eyes is the new releases that are always near the entrance. Those movies are a bit more expensive to rent than older releases, but it is great to finally watch the movies that everyone talks about. Kusuo casually ignores that section. With his telepathy he knows about every little detail about those movies, there is no point to get them.
Kusuo then walks through classic movies section. Movies that are cheap, always interesting, and that everyone talks about. He skips most of the section until he reaches his choice of movies, the upmost bottom of the classics section, B-Listed movies. He states the store's manager is a fan of movies and has a great bunch of movies to choose from. Saiki picks up a movie called Our Lambada 3, having been curious about it the last time he went to the store. He is positive no one has seen it, only for a passing movie connoisseur to spoil the movie for him. He picks up another movie, Snake Emperor God, Seven Days of Creation, and takes the movie to the register. He has to show the employee, Hashida, the movie and most of the time get spoiled by their memories of the movie, this being one of those times.
While being spoiled by Hashida, he prefers her over others as she is in level 2. Kusuo has all the employees in the store classified into 5 levels. He would have been happier if Murao were there but at the moment it is fine how it is, that is until the store manager Mizuhara arrives to take over the shift. Mizuhara is a level 5, a level where Kusuo would need to leave. Mizuhara is a walking movie encyclopedia, having seen several movies when he was younger and goes to the movie theater on his days off. Kusuo started thinking of his options. He could go back home to get the germanium ring, which he found annoying, then chose to pick 3 movies, seeing as he would only spoil only 1 movie. Mizuhara, however, spoils all the endings from all 3 movies. Kusuo uses another tactic, have a weird face, to distract him enough to not pay attention to the movie. It also ends in failure.
Kusuo starts into thinking to get the ring afterall, that is until he runs into a familiar face, Takahashi. Takahashi is in disguise and panics seeing Kusuo, seeing as he was going to rent porn DVDs. He begs Kusuo to not tell anyone about this, worried about his reputation. Kusuo does not care about it until he realizes he can get Takahashi to rent a movie for him. He teleports 200 meters away to not hear Mizuhara's thoughts, however Takahashi gets caught for being a minor. Kusuo transports back and Takahashi blames him as the one to tell him to get the movies. Murao, the level one Kusuo prefers to be on shift, arrives to take care of the store and Mizuhara kicks both Kusuo and Takahashi out. Once outside, Kusuo states he would definitely expose him.
In an omake page for the chapter, Kusuo tells the school about the incident, however everyone is not surprised Takahashi would do that.
