Short Summary[]

On Valentine’s Day, Shun and Aren debate on whether or not Kineshi is homosexual.

Long Summary[]

February 14th, Shun is next to his shoe locker and complaining about what day it is. Kusuo walks by and hears Shun think about how he does not expect anything to be in his locker and hopes there is nothing. Shun goes on to open his locker, to find only his school shoes and is highly disappointed. Kusuo sarcastically congratulates him.

Immediately afterwards, Aren is behind Shun and asks him if he is upset due to not getting chocolate. Shun is surprised and tries to play it off, saying he did not know today was Valentine’s Day. Aren is surprised that Shun forgot too, stating he forgot since he previously went to an all boys school but only remembered due to seeing Kineshi with chocolate. They are amazed at how popular he is, Kusuo explains that most of the chocolate Kineshi receives is obligation chocolate. Aren and Shun continue to talk, saying while Kineshi is popular he is not dating anyone nor does he talk about girls. Shun then playfully suggests to Aren that Kineshi is probably homosexual. Aren laughs, saying he believes it.

Kineshi appears behind them, surprising them, and asks what they are talking about him. They nervously tell him that they were talking about how popular he is, Kineshi plays them off. Kineshi then remembers he wanted to give them something, surprising Shun more. Kineshi gives them chocolate, stating they are friendship chocolate. Walking away, he states he felt bad for getting lots of chocolate without doing nothing so he is giving some out. Aren and Shun look at each other nervously and start to suspect he probably is gay.

Hairo is walking around and greeting everyone, closeby Shun and Aren are wondering if they are overthinking it. One states he does not believe Kineshi to be gay but if he were it would be fine as it is his life. The other quiets them, saying they are loud. Aren then whispers to Shun since they are friends, they should know, Shun agrees. Kusuo, nearby, states that they both look like they are gay themselves. Aren states he has suspicions before, such as when he first transferred to the school. Aren was changing into his PE clothes, Kineshi called out his name, looked him up and down and told him he has a nice body and that he likes him. Aren wonders if he meant it in a romantic way and Kusuo says he just has a dirty mind. Shun then remembers an instance for himself with him. During gym, Shun could not do a flip in the pull up bar and Kineshi gave him advice. He told him to grab the pole better, thrust with his hips and give some power to his behind. Kusuo admits that one is a bit scarier.

Aren tries to say all of that was probably a coincidence but they stop to see Kineshi with Riki. Kineshi is trying to recruit Riki into his club but Riki is not cooperating with him. Aren and Shun start to relax, saying they are probably overthinking it. Kineshi then pleads with Riki, saying it has to be him. Aren and Shun are surprised by what he is saying and their suspicion continues. Aren states Kineshi basically confessed, Shun in agreement and Kusuo, in the classroom, states this is all Kineshi’s own fault. Riki starts to leave, Kineshi asks him for one more chance. If he were to lose again, he would look for someone else; Aren and Shun think this is a sad break up. Riki agrees with Kineshi and asks him what they are going to do. Kineshi states they will get naked and go against each other, basically a clash between skin and skin. Aren and Shun are in shock, thinking heavily dirty, and ask what they are going to do at school.

Kineshi and Riki are going against each other in sumo wrestling. Kineshi hears Aren and Shun and they immediately hide. Kineshi then reminds Riki of the conditions, if he loses he will stop recruiting him and if Riki loses he will have to join the tennis club. Riki agrees to the terms. Aren and Shun are relieved it was sumo and not anything obscene they were initially thinking.

Kusuo, also nearby, states he did not come to watch but instead is hiding from Kokomi, who is looking for him. Kusuo decides to just watch, not caring on who wins but on where Kineshi stands on his preference. He explains that Kineshi does not say “offu” to Kokomi, he wears clothes that show a lot of skin and shows his butt a lot. Kusuo goes on to say that he does not think Kineshi is gay but, even with his telepathy, he does not know if Kineshi will feel like that later on. If Kineshi does not know his feelings, then he will not know either. Kusuo hears Kineshi think about Riki and conflicts Kusuo with his opinion.

Kineshi and Riki start their match. Aren and Shun see it as an intense battle but still subtly think it is something obscene. They start yelling at them, telling them to be serious, Kineshi and Riki however can not hear them. Kusuo quips, wishing the manga would be serious too. Riki thinks about how Riki is good at sumo but he will not lose. Aren and Shun continue to yell, stating it still looks like how they ended up thinking, telling Riki to stop his expressions and saying they can not show this in Jump. Kusuo states that they are only thinking it in that way and everyone should just watch. Kineshi yells, the two fall and the match is over. Aren and Shun wonder who won as there is a lot of dust blocking their view. Kineshi is on top of Riki and both are out of bounds. Aren and Shun scream and Kineshi and Riki finally notice them. The match ended up as a draw, Kineshi could have won if his loincloth had not fallen off. Riki is happy as it is technically the first time he lost in sumo. They then ask Aren and Shun why they are there.

Kineshi ends up laughing at their suspicions and tells the two that he is not gay. They tell him it is fine if he is, but Kineshi reassures them that he does not feel that way. Kineshi explains he has never been in love and has not felt that way with a male either. The two finally calm down. Riki tells Kineshi they should have another match, he agrees only for his loincloth to fall again. Aren and Shun scream once again and Kineshi asks them what is wrong. Kusuo, walking away from the gym, states that Kineshi’s sexuality is still unclear.
