Summary

It's the start of a new semester and Kusuo coincidentally mets Riki first on the way to school. To his surprise, he suddenly disappeared. In the classroom, Shun talked about Riki sudden change of attitude when he himself made a huge change over his image as he started to sports an eyepatch and a long braided hair on the right side of his head. Riki then went home before the two without even talking to them and as it piqued their interests Kusuo and Shun started following him. They saw Riki smiling in a sinister way towards little girls as he buys flowers and cake that they concluded he might be up to something bad. When Shun can't take it anymore, he went towards Riki and confronted him to which Riki defends himself saying that they were misunderstanding him. Riki was actually going to visit his father who died protecting a little girl. As they were about to go home, Kusuo sees a glimpse of Riki's dead father eating a cake. The chapter ends with Kusuo receiving a letter from an unknown person saying that they know that Kusuo is a psychic.

• What was written in the color page is changed when published into volume 2.
  • The color page says "I am a psychic. How about I try and guess what you are thinking. "Huh? This manga series has another color page?" How was that? Am I right?"
  • In the volume, it says "Are you aware? This page in the weekly magazine was in color. Well it kind of is meaningless, though."
