Characters[]

Abilities Used[]

  • Size Alteration
  • Teleportation

Short Summary[]

Kusuo uses his size alteration to help his mom, only to start growing out of proportion after a nap. He starts to accidentally destroy the house so he teleports away. He is nearly found by some people on a boat and attempts to hide in the ocean.

Long Summary[]

Kurumi is surprised and grateful that she was able to get her wedding ring back from falling off the sink. She faces into the sink and thanks Kusuo for getting it back and apologizes for him having to make his body small. Kusuo, with a wet raincoat, tells her it was not much of a problem. He jumps down the sink and tells her to be careful next time and she tells him she will and thanks him again.

Kusuo ends up dropping hard when landing, not anticipating it. With his current height, a 80 cm sink would become 80 m tall, so he has to be careful. He goes to his room, explaining 80 m is like dropping off the 25th floor of a building and decides he is going to take a nap since he can not do much with his current height. Kusuo wakes from his nap, anticipating that is about an hour afterwards and his body is back to his normal size. He gets up, cracks his bed and realizes he is way taller than he should be. Kuniharu tries to open the door to Kusuo’s room, to ask him how to get the champion’s crest in a video game, but can not do so. He tells Kusuo that his door is stuck on something and Kuniharu is finally able to open the door. Kusuo tells him not to slam the door and Kuniharu enters. Kuniharu is about to ask about the game, sees Kusuo has grown too tall and Kusuo telling him it is not time for that. He ends up in shock and screams.

Kuniharu yells to Kurumi, who is downstairs and admiring her wedding ring, that Kusuo got bigger. Kurumi goes upstairs, telling him that Kusuo would obviously get bigger. Kuniharu assures her that is not what he means, she does not get it and Kuniharu points to their son when she is in view. She yells, saying he is too big and what is going on since he is bigger than she imagined. Kuniharu agrees, Kusuo as well but also tells them to shut up. Kusuo is confused and all he knows is that he is currently twice his size. Kurumi is worried about him and asks if he is okay. Kuniharu says it is not time for that and to look at how big he is. To prove his point he uses Kusuo’s hand and his own together, but in shock and excitement gets carried away at how awesome it looks. Kusuo mocks him by saying it is not the time for that either. Kurumi wants to try too and is surprised at how big his fingernails are too. Kusuo tells them to take this seriously, only for the floor to tear and he falls down. His parents are in shock, Kusuo asks them if they will take it seriously now and they immediately agree.

His parents go downstairs and they all sit in the living room. His parents ask him how he got big, Kusuo explains that as soon as he woke up he just ended up like this. They ask him if he can just shrink himself and Kusuo explains he would have done it but he currently can not. They are surprised, asking if he lost the ability, he explains that he has never lost an ability before so there has to be another reason. Kuniharu yells, wondering if he will stay stuck like this until he finds the reasoning and pictures Kusuo at school and takes a taxi at this tall size. Kusuo tells him if he ends up stuck like this he will not go to school nor go into a car. Kuniharu then states they have to find a cause and if he has any ideas, Kusuo is completely clueless. He explains he never used this ability to grow bigger since he had no intention to try it, it draws attention and there is no use for it. He does not know the drawback either but believes it might take an hour for him to go back like his shrinking ability and they decide to just wait. Kurumi remembers something, runs out and comes back with coffee jelly. She explains she got this coffee jelly for Kusuo as a thank you for getting her ring back and they can eat them to buy time. Kusuo asks her if she really wants to do that right now, she closes the box and says they can do it later. Kusuo stops her, telling her he did not say he will not eat them.

They open the coffee jelly and Kurumi and Kuniharu are excited to eat them. Kusuo, however, scopes some with a spoon, looks upset at how small it is, looks away and says this feels wrong. Kuniharu laughs at him, says that it is due to him being bigger and the coffee jelly is half its size for him. Kusuo asks if he eats his coffee jelly, it would basically be the same. Kuniharu tells him he will never give him his coffee jelly and Kusuo threatens him. Kuniharu, afraid, says he was kidding, that he was not very hungry and hands him the coffee jelly. Kusuo understands how he can use this ability to his advantage but at that same moment he ends up growing more. Kuniharu asks him if he did and Kusuo tells him that it is obvious. His parents figure out he is at least 3 times his size now when comparing the coffee jelly in his hand. Kurumi decides to give Kusuo her own coffee jelly, Kusuo believes that fixes everything. Kuniharu, however, yells at them that this is not the time for this and if Kusuo grows more he can destroy the house. At that exact second, Kusuo ends up breaking the ceiling and breaking Kuniharu’s room. Kuniharu yells about how Kusuo is growing more instead of growing smaller, repeating about how he is destroying his room and telling Kusuo to fix everything. Kusuo does not understand what is going on but assures he will fix everything and decides to teleport out to avoid breaking the house further. Kurumi thinks he exploded and Kuniharu assures her that he teleported. Their doorbell rings, it is Yuuta’s mother, wondering if they are okay since she heard a loud sound. They panic, the woman opens the door and is surprised at the huge amount of damage. Kurumi and Kuniharu nervously excuse themselves by saying they had a fight.

Meanwhile, Kusuo teleported himself into the water surrounding the deserted island that he and the others were stuck in. He is sure no one will be able to see him but figures he can not stay there for long since he has to figure out and fix whatever is going on with himself. He realizes the refrigerator got stuck in his fingers, figures out what his current size is and notices a boat approaching his direction. Kusuo then realizes he is not in the same deserted island and his teleportation was affected with the change of height. He tries to make the boat leave and ends up making a tidal wave for them. He grabs the boat before it capsizes, making the crew confused as to what happened and continues their search to find him. Kusuo can not teleport yet and decides to hide himself in the ocean for the time being.

Continuity[]
