Long Summary[]

Men on the boat communicate with someone and mention that they are sure that they saw a giant on the island. Right before they send their location, their communication device malfunctions and they are in shock. Kusuo, under the boat, mentions he is the one that cut their communication devices since he does not want any more people to come. One of the guys wonders if they should go back and the other says no they have to find the giant. Kusuo wonders what he should do.

Kusuo recaps on what happened in the previous chapter and how he ended up in his current situation. As he finishes, one of the men believes the giant went underwater and they decide to check. Knowing he could get caught, Kusuo decides to use his invisibility right when they poke at the water. Kusuo is glad that it worked. He believes his invisibility will not become undone, only for fish to arrive and undo it. One of the men sees him, screams and goes into panic. It surprises Kusuo, since this is the first time he finds out that even non-human things can undo his invisibility. Before the other man can see him, Kusuo decides to teleport out. At that process, the water level drops and makes waves on them.

While at the new place he teleported to, Kusuo sees what happens to them and apologizes. He looks at his surroundings, finds trees, discovers he is in land and panics. He tries to look for any place to hide, fails and decides to hide most of his body by being in the fetal position inside his pullover sweater. He asks himself what is he doing, he has always explained how amazing his abilities are but now he is put under this position and feels pathetic. He pulls himself together, knowing him being upset will not himself help out, and starts to try to make himself invisible. He then hears the thoughts of people and finds a herd of them coming to his direction.

The people stop near Kusuo and speak in an unknown language. Kusuo has no idea what they are saying but does understand what they are thinking. Out of a sudden, the people start throwing rocks at Kusuo and he wants them to stop or else he can not turn invisible. One of the guys goes to touch him, as a test of courage, and they end up cheering. Kusuo is not pleased. Another person decides to step up and hit Kusuo with their butt, making the others more impressed at that action. At that moment, having enough of them, Kusuo stands up with his sweater still covering his head. The crowd of people scream in terror. In fear, the butt person blames the first guy and the two argue. Using this distraction, Kusuo decides to run away from them.

Kusuo wants to get some distance away from them to use his invisibility and believes he will just be a legendary monster for them. He hears them panic, wonders what is wrong, and finds their village. The children are in confusion and the remaining people are in panic. Kusuo panics too, if he can not stop, he will crush them. As a last ditch effort, he decides to use his levitation, manages to stop but ends up jumping too high. He tries to think quickly on what to do next and ends up in his original position of hiding most of his body into his sweater again and floating above them. Kusuo again questions himself as to what is he doing. The villagers are in shock, start to think he is a god and start praying for him. Kusuo does not want them to pray for him but realizes this can be used to his advantage so he can run away. He then starts falling to the ground and makes a big crater. Kusuo finally concludes that his growing ability is the exact same ability as his shrinking ability. He has always used his growing ability to grow back to his normal size after shrinking himself. He only figured it out because he can not use levitation when using the ability. He also concludes that when he shrinks he can use it quickly, but the downside is that when he grows, it is very slow. Now the only thing he can not figure out is what triggered his ability to make him grow like this. He mentions how he fell from pretty high up, probably about his current size, 80m, and he has a sudden realization.

The villagers are finally at the area where Kusuo fell. They notice the crater, sees he is not around and tries searching for him. Kusuo, hiding nearby and back to his normal size, smirks and states they are a little too late. He finally figured out what triggered all of this, when he fell from the sink he mentioned he will “become 80m tall.” Kusuo quips, possibly to the author, on why he wasted 2 chapters for this joke.
