Short Summary

Shun's dad bought him a video camera and Shun plans to become a Yotubo-er. His first video failed and the guys give him ideas for his next video. During that process the camera ended up recording Kusuo using his abilities, however Kusuo ended up getting the camera before Shun saw the footage.

Long Summary

In the morning, before school starts, Riki and Aren wonder where Shun is since he is late than usual. Shun arrives with a video camera in his hands and they immediately ask him about it. Shun stumbles that his father bought it for him, and Riki and Aren question him as to what he was originally going to say. He says he was going to say the name of a brand of camera but he was corrected that his camera is a different brand. Shun ends up telling them to shut up and watch what he has recorded, which was them earlier talking about how late he was and a zoom in on Riki. They complain to him about secretly recording them and Shun states it was just a test and plans to conquer the world with the camera.

They end up talking more about it after school, at a restaurant. He asks the others if they know about a video-sharing website, Yo!Tubo. Aren and Riki immediately know what he is talking about and they talk about what they watch. Shun tells them he plans to become a Yotubo-er and they tell him it is not easy to do. He shrugs it off, saying it is easy and that he already made his first video. They decide to watch it and they notice he shutters a lot. Then they find out it is a review video of a VR set, reminding Kusuo of the previous time he used the exact same one. They go on to have the same thoughts of criticism of his video, such as having tame reactions and not sharing what he was seeing on the set. Shun asks them for their opinion and Aren tells him he should just quit. Shun flinches, Aren goes into detail of his problems, such as his “ums” and “uhs,” never fully explaining the product and how no one would subscribe to him. Kusuo, drinking his milkshake, agrees to all of his points and believes the conversation will be finished and they will all go home. Aren then suggests to Shun that they all should plan the video together from the beginning.

They try to think of a video idea but find it difficult since they want it to be interesting and have minimal editing. Grabbing a french fry, Aren suggests they try to put how many fries can Riki’s chin hold. Kusuo is surprised that he suggested that after complaining earlier. They wonder if anyone would watch that video, they do not think so, and Riki ends up putting 8 fries on his chin. Wanting to leave, Kusuo says it is impressive but they do not listen to him. Shun then suggests that they should film Aren fighting a group of delinquents. Kusuo says Aren would just end up arrested and Aren shoots the idea down, saying he gave up on that. The guys near them start making too much noise, Aren threatens them to shut up. Kusuo tells them this is their chance to record but Aren returns and the guys have complied with his demands.

They are starting to run out of ideas and ask Kusuo if he has any ideas. Kusuo immediately has the idea of using his abilities but knows it is a bad idea so he tells him nothing. Riki says he has an idea and the others do not want to hear him out. Riki suggests to them that if they bring in Kokomi for a video, then everyone would watch it. The others, including Kusuo, are surprised he had an actual good idea. Kusuo says they really should not involve her since things would get out of hand and is highly relieved she is not with them. With his telepathy, however, he figures out she is closeby and will cross by them. He hopes the others would not notice her, a random guy sees her and they look towards the direction she is at. Kusuo decides to use his telekinesis and throws fries on Aren, Shun and Riki's eyes before they realize it is Kokomi. They cry in pain of something getting in their eye and Kusuo apologizes.

They decide to go home and agree to brainstorm more ideas. Walking home, Kusuo is relieved that it is all over. He hates being in photos and videos and hopes Shun stops with his plans. Kusuo then gets a headache, realizing it is his precognition. He sees a computer screen on the Yo!Tubo main page and on the trending videos tab. He sees a video of him using his telekinesis on the fries as well as everything that happened at the restaurant.

Shun, walking home, is thinking about how hard making a video is. He notices the camera is still recording but is immediately knocked out. Turns out it was Kusuo and he grabs the video camera. Kusuo states he would have noticed if he did it on purpose but it was all an accident. The camera was recording the whole time and he nearly got on trending.

Continuity

• The VR set Shun did a review video on is the exact same one Kuniharu and Kusuo played with in Chapter 243.

Trivia

• Shun received a “Somy” video camera, a reference to the company, Sony.
  • He mentioned another brand, called “Parasonic,” which is a reference to Panasonic
• The restaurant where Kusuo, Shun, Aren and Riki were in for the majority of the chapter was a reference to McDonald’s.
• Yo!Tubo is an obvious reference to the well known video-sharing website, YouTube.
