Summary[]

Kusuo is walking along with Shun and they are following Riki to a ramen shop. Shun is annoyed that they have not arrived yet and asks Riki if they are there yet. The two argue, Kusuo is annoyed, but he explains there are benefits being with them since others around them will avoid them. Suddenly Kokomi appears and she asks him what he is doing. Riki and Shun immediately gawk at her. She asks them and they explain to her that they were heading to a ramen shop. She appears interested and asks them if she can come along with them. They welcome her with them and Kusuo gets more annoyed as they will all get attention now.

They continue walking to the shop and everyone gawks to her. Kusuo slightly blames himself for being stuck in this position, he could have focused using his telepathy a bit more, but he decides he will not since there are too many people around to know who is who. He goes on to think of Kokomi as an opponent he should be wary of, as she got Riki and Shun to change their whole personality with just her looks, she does not mind that everyone does gawking reactions to her and is fully aware of it.

Kokomi thinks about how happy Riki and Shun are for her joining them to eat, however is annoyed at Kusuo. She has mixed feelings of him since he continues to have a straight facial expression. She complains about the day they met in the summer, how he never said “offu.” Kusuo argues why he has to say it. She continues to complain about his lack of reaction to her and suddenly is drawn by his mysteriousness and his eyes. Riki calls out Kusuo, saying he does not look okay and is acting differently. Kokomi wonders if he is thinking about her and decides to break his walls and make him say “offu” to her today.

Kusuo, who has heard her thoughts the whole time, says it almost looks like he is watching his girlfriend talking to herself. He explains that even if she were his girlfriend, he will not say “offu” due to his own pride. While this situation is troublesome, he will try to come up with a good plan to get out. He believes it was just bad luck he met up with all of them today.

They continue walking and find the shop. They find the shop’s exterior to be dirty and in need of repairs. Kokomi, in shock and despair, says offu. She hopes Riki is joking, he says that he heard that the ramen is good, and she does not believe it one bit. Riki is insistent on it, Kokomi refuses to believe it and complains as she has gone to 3 star restaurants and is disgusted how the place does not need an appointment. Kusuo sees she is lost in her own thoughts. He is certain her own pride and expectations are too high for her to go into the shop; she will excuse herself, Riki and Shun will feel down and she will start disliking him. He plans to make him and her have bad energy between them if it happens and she can no longer use the excuse to make him say “offu.” She thinks the food in the shop is not something she wants to eat, Kusuo says she should be worried about how they are making her look bad.

Kokomi decides to excuse herself. Shun complains to Riki about bringing them to the shop and that Kokomi would not want to enter this place. Kokomi tries to get out but Shun continues to complain to Riki. Shun then asks her if this shop is too dirty and she tells him it is okay. She thinks it is now hard for her to leave and blames herself for not being quick to excuse herself out of there. Shun asks her if she is sure and she affirms herself. Kusuo is not surprised at Shun for helping her out and explains that she now has to find a new excuse to leave or face entering the shop.

They enter the shop, only to find it also dirty on the inside too. Kokomi is not surprised and is disgusted. Shun complains once again and tells Kokomi she does not have to be here. She continues with her perfect facade with the boys. Shun is in shock and awe at her for staying. Kokomi is sure Shun is complimenting her, is happy about it, and says she will not break down being a perfect pretty girl. Seated on a table, Riki calls the owner and orders them 4 ramens. A sweaty obese bald man with a pitcher reaffirms the order. Kokomi, once again in shock and despair, says offu. She hopes he is not the owner but the waiter and Kusuo thinks she should accept reality. Kusuo is surprised she is thinking about that instead of trying to leave. He did not expect to come here and it would make sense to leave. Shun tells Riki the food better be good or he will not forgive him. Riki assures him it is since a family friend said it was.

They wait and the ramen is finally served to them. The ramen looks disgusting and all four of them, dumbfounded, say offu. Kusuo is not surprised, it was expected and he has decided to not eat it. He explains this would make anyone feel bad and no way anyone would eat it. He is then surprised. Shun is in shock and horrified and screams at Kokomi. Kokomi is eating the ramen to again show she is perfect. Shun tells her she should please stop eating it and she is in turn surprised. Riki yells at the owner, he tells him he found hair and other stuff in the ramen and that no one would eat it. The owner tells them to leave. Shun, holding the ramen, is still surprised and disgusted that Kokomi ate it. Most of everyone’s likability of each other decreased, excluding for one. Walking away from the shop with the others, Kusuo is amazed. He thinks about how Kokomi surpassed his expectations just to maintain her own perfection and starts to think that perhaps she is perfect. Kokomi, however, thinks about feeling sick from eating. Thus, in the end, Kusuo’s likability of Kokomi increased.
