Synopsis

After accidentally turning Riki and Shun into stone, Kusuo comes up with a plan to hypnotically substitute them with other friends. Hilarity ensues.

Kusuo's glasses break and thus he accidentally turns Riki and Shun into stone. He asks Mikoto and Reita for help by impersonating them until it wears off.

Impersonation Via Hypnosis (Part 2)

Reita impersonates Riki and Mikoto impersonates Shun, they do all the plans they had to do and they manage to go through the day.

The guys plan to stay up together for the New Year, however most of them are tired from doing stuff earlier.

Silent New Year’s

Kusuo wears his telepathy blocking ring to have a silent New Year, however not everything goes according to plan.

Manga and Anime Differences

• In "Silent New Year’s," there is an anime original ending. Originally in the manga, it ends with Kusuo wishing to have a peaceful year. In the anime, it ends with added dialogue: Kokomi, Chiyo, Shun and Riki finding him, Kusuo hearing Kokomi's thoughts and he believes that the gods are on her side again.
