Relationships

Saiki Kusuo[]

After Aren transferred to PK academy he was alone. He tried to make friends with Kusuo, whom he sees as a loner. However, the latter didn't want to make friends with him, so instead he rebuked Aren, making him angry and causing him to show his true face. Aren admires that Kusuo has many friends, which he learned when he saw him being crowded by Kaidou, Nendou, Teruhashi, Chiyo and Toritsuka. Eventually, Kusuo accepts Aren as part of his "friend group."

Kaidou Shun[]

Kaidou was the second person to know about Aren's secret of being a former delinquent.[1] He figured it out when he saw Aren with a group of delinquents, so Kaidou decided to never befriend him. He was scared of Aren, but later they become friendly with each other after Aren saved Kusuo and him[2] from delinquents who tried to steal their money. Because of that, Kaidou respected Aren more and would hangout with him more often, even going on motorcycle rides for fun together. Later on, they occasionally refer to each other by their given names rather than their surnames, indicating closer friendship.

Nendou Riki[]

Aren originally thought of Nendou as a strong rival or another delinquent after seeing his face, but later realized that Nendou is a moron. Even so, Aren still sees him as a friend, and tried to help Nendou make money to buy a gift for his mom. They bonded over how they both learned to cook because their mother's were always busy. Since Nendou loves ramen so much Nendou also invites Aren to get ramen with Saiki and Kaidou every once in a while.

Toritsuka Reita[]

Toritsuka was the first person to come up to Aren and talk to him so Aren was delighted. Not even a minute later Aren was annoyed by how clingy Toritsuka seemed when he put his arm around Arens shoulder. Aren mentioned that his old school didn't have any girls so Toritsuka instantly got disintrested then left without warning. Since then Aren thought of Toritsuka as an unmanly creep who only cares about hitting on girls.

Hairo Kineshi[]

At first, Aren was put off by the Hairo's energetic nature and decided it was best to avoid him. However, when other classmates talked badly about Aren, Hairo stood up for him and gave a speech that sounded like Aren's old gang leader. This caused Aren to respect Hairo who became the first person that he wanted to be friends with.

Aiura Mikoto[]

Aren was shown to be not good with girls, as when he was hugged by and flirted at by Mikoto, he had hard time and was stuttering. Despite not believing in fortune-tellers, he got scared when Mikoto saw his mullet's aura and inferred that he was a "strong, aggressive boy."

Saiko Metori[]

Aren is deeply annoyed by Metori’s smug and egocentric attitude. Metori often provokes him to anger both intentionally and unintentionally. Because of how arrogant and snobby Saiko comes off, especially when it comes to showing off his money, Aren always attempts to act unimpressed by all of the stuff Saiko owns. Despite this Aren has shown to care about Metori and his well-being.

Akechi Touma[]

When Touma first transferred to PK, he ended up not making the best first impression with his overuse of words. When Aren sees that Touma is sitting in the cafeteria alone, he felt bad and he decides to befriend him, considering Aren knew how it felt to be a lonely transfer student. He, alongside Shun, went to sit with Touma, however Aren could not get ahold of his temper and was angered by the amount of times he was cut off or forced to listen to painfully long paragraphs. Aren even ended up grabbing him by the shirt endlessly yelling at him until Touma mentioned Aren's delinquent past and caught him off guard.
