Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan, also known as The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., (斉木楠雄のΨ難 Saiki Kusuo no Sainan) is a Japanese gag manga series written and illustrated by Asou Shuuichi.

History

The manga series first started with a one-shot chapter that was released on August 16, 2010 in the now defunct magazine, Jump Next! Afterwards, the series had 7 extra one-shot chapters on Weekly Shōnen Jump that were released between May 9, 2011 to November 21, 2011, all of which were published in Volume 0. The creator was then given an offer for serialization, which began on May 14, 2012.
The following years, the series received a vomic, flash anime, 2 light novels, games, an anime adaptation and a live action movie adaptation.
The manga series ended on July 26, 2018 with Epilogue Chapter 2.

Synopsis

Born with innate supernatural powers, Saiki Kusuo seems to have his life easy. He possesses various psychic abilities, including telepathy and psychokinesis among others, allowing him to get anything he wants. During kindergarten, he incidentally caught media attention after rumors of how he never loses any janken match against his friends and teacher spread around town. The incident made him came to the resolve of not using his power in front of others ever again so people will not find out that he is a psychic. But upon being a high school sophomore, with all hi-jinks that ensue, Kusuo is slowly cutting his resolve loose.

Plot

Saiki Kusuo, an otherwise normal teenager, has various super-powers, telepathy and telekinesis included. This should have been cool, but through experience, Saiki comes to realize that having powers while trying to lead an ordinary life is a bad mix.
