Hi, I've been looking around the wiki for a couple of weeks. Been checking the guidelines and wanted to see if others would like the ideas I have for some pages.
So firstly I saw through how to do pages is that we can add Anime episodes on Manga chapter pages, but I have not seen any Manga page so far that has them. Seeing how it also says that most of the guidelines are from other wikis, I'm wondering if that can be done or not. Would be great for those rereading the manga and want to reference back which episode to watch.
Another thing I saw is another called 'Quick Reference' which I quote states: "bullets with key points or noteworthy events. This only includes the cover page if it has wider impact on the plot of the series." If it includes the cover, it could talk about some of the later chapters' covers, that do not have a page posted in the Wiki, that have references to pop culture such as movies "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" and "Your Name." Or do those count more as Trivia, which is allowed on this wiki. By the way, no pages have this, but it seems interesting to have to write down important points, especially if chapter summaries are detailed.
Which brings another point, seeing that same page layout guide, it does not have 'summaries' in the Chapter layout, all Chapter pages in this Wiki has one. I don't see any specifics as to those pages being rather editors doing a short summary or a detailed one. I, and most likely others, inferred it as detailed, based on the few beginning pages. It seems bests to do it detailed too, seeing as the Anime does the episodes in under 6 minutes and all those pages have that small sypnosis and those pages have the manga chapters in their page.
And if 'Quick Reference" is a no, can I bring up the idea of adding 'synopsis' right before the summary, that way the pages has the small summary for those who just want a quick reminder of what that chapter is about and not having to read a detailed one.
Also, how exactly does one add photos to the wiki? Do we just add them on the gallery page and give them proper name lke "Chapter 555.png" or is there another place for that. I have some pictures of raw chapters that are not on here yet if that helps.
Another thing I wanted to ask if we can add a summary on the live action movie, I personally saw it, but seeing as there is no direction on how to do the page, I have not touched it.
Oops, I did not mean this to be long. I really want the Wiki to thrive but I do not want to be a pushover or something, but um yeah thoughts?
